Posi Track Hire:
The Wacker Neuson ST11
When the ground is soft, wet, sandy or sloped, or when you can’t afford to tear up the surface, a posi track is the compact loader you want. Here’s what the Wacker Neuson ST11 is good at and how to get it to your site.
If you’ve ever watched a wheeled machine dig itself into wet ground, or leave deep ruts across a finished lawn, you already understand why posi tracks exist. When the surface matters, or the ground is working against you, tracks beat wheels — and our Wacker Neuson ST11 is one of the most useful machines in the fleet for landscaping, site prep and clean-up work.
What Is a Posi Track?
A posi track is a compact loader that runs on rubber tracks instead of wheels. Like a skid steer, it has a loader arm at the front that takes a range of attachments, and it’s small enough to manoeuvre on residential and light commercial sites where a full-size loader would be overkill.
The difference is underneath. A wheeled machine puts its weight onto four small contact patches, while tracks spread that weight over a much larger area. The result is a machine that sits lighter on the ground, grips better on difficult surfaces, and does far less damage to what it’s driving over.
Protecting Lawns & Landscaped Areas
If you’re working on or near a finished lawn, garden beds or turf, a wheeled machine can leave ruts and scuffs that take months to recover. The posi track’s tracks spread the load, so you can move material, level ground and work close to areas you want to keep intact without tearing them up.
- Moving soil and material across finished lawns
- Working close to garden beds and landscaped areas
- Turf and lawn renovation work without wrecking the surface
Wet, Muddy & Sandy Ground
After rain, a wheeled loader can quickly bog down, spin and dig in. A posi track has far better traction in wet and muddy conditions, which means you can keep working on days when other machines would be stuck on the sidelines. Here on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, where a summer storm can turn a worksite into a quagmire overnight, that matters.
Sand is another hard surface for a wheeled machine, because the wheels sink and lose grip. Tracks float over loose ground far better, which makes the ST11 a strong choice for sandy backyards, beachside properties and sites with loose fill.
Working on soft, wet or sandy ground? The Wacker Neuson ST11 posi track keeps working where wheeled machines get stuck.

Tracks give you more grip and stability on sloped or uneven ground, which helps when you’re working on a sloping block, a batter, or a site that hasn’t been levelled yet.
What Can You Use a Posi Track For?
A posi track is one of those machines that turns days of manual labour into hours. Common jobs include:
- Landscaping and site prep — levelling, spreading and moving soil, mulch, sand and gravel
- Moving bulk material — shifting piles around site without wheelbarrowing by hand
- Site clean-ups — clearing debris and rubble after demolition, renovations or tree work
- Driveway and paving base prep — spreading and levelling base material
- Loading trucks and trailers — loading out waste or bringing in bulk material
Attachments
Like most compact loaders, the ST11 can be fitted with a range of attachments, which is where a lot of the value comes from. Rather than hiring separate equipment for each stage of a project, you can often cover several tasks with one loader and a couple of attachment changes.
Attachment availability can vary, so if you have a specific task in mind, let us know when you enquire and we’ll confirm what’s available to go with the machine. That way the right setup is ready on the day, rather than finding out on site that you’re missing the one attachment you needed.
Not sure which loader suits your site? Describe the ground and the job and we’ll point you to the right machine.
Enquire NowPosi Track or Skid Steer?
If you’re weighing up both options, the choice usually comes down to the ground you’re working on. Soft, wet, sandy, sloped or finished ground suits the posi track. Hard, firm or compacted ground suits a wheeled skid steer, and our Toyota Huski 5SDK5 is built for exactly that.
If your site is a mix of both, tell us what you’re working on and we’ll point you toward the right machine. We’d rather have you on the right one for the day than fighting the wrong one.

Why Hire Instead of Buying?
A posi track is a serious piece of equipment, and unless you’re using one regularly, owning one rarely makes sense. Hiring means you get a serviced machine that’s ready to go, you pay only for the time you need it, and you don’t have to worry about storage, maintenance or depreciation. For a weekend landscaping job or a one-off site clean-up, it’s the obvious choice.
Trailer Pickup or Delivery
The Wacker Neuson ST11 is available to hire on a trailer, so if you’ve got a suitable vehicle to tow with, you can pick it up and have it on site the same day.
If towing isn’t convenient, or you’d rather not deal with loading and unloading a machine yourself, we also offer delivery across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Logan and Ipswich, from our Stapylton depot. Get in touch and we’ll sort out the details based on your location.
